It’s not an Idaho Potato -

It’s a MICHIGAN potato

There wasn’t any point to this except that I thought it was cute!

    Yes, we grew potatoes in the cold clay soil of Dafter Township. Our first crop was hit by some kind of blight. The potatoes were beautiful when we dug them but they began to rot when exposed to the air. The MSU Extension agent told me that thorough drying would prevent the rot. I spread sheets all over the living room floor and laid out the potatoes and turned on the fans. The kids’ job was frequently rotate and roll the potatoes. It worked. We saved the crop.

      Wow! I don’t remember that one. Is that when you tied a strip of Dad’s boxer shorts to the screen of the fan?
